MARY FALDETTA GIANNOBILE, 94 years old of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away peacefully Monday, April 24, 2017, at the Richard Murphy Hospice House in Hammond. She was born on Thursday, October 12, 1922 to Sam and Josephine Annina Faldetta. 

Mary enjoyed gardening in her earlier years with her husband. They raised chrysanthemums for many years along with bell peppers and strawberries. She was a housewife and a wonderful cook. She was a devout Catholic who spent many hours praying her rosary and reading the newspaper. She loved spending time with her family. 

Mary is survived by her three sons: Philip (Robbi) Giannobile, Vincent Jr. (Carolyn) Giannobile, both of Hammond, and Sal (Karen) Giannobile of Monroe. 

Grandchildren: Christina (Tony) Bugilone of Malvern, PA, Brian (Julie) Giannobile, Hammond; Dr. Joseph (Emily) Giannobile, Monroe; Mandy (Jared) Hill, Hammond; Matthew (Cassandra) Giannobile, Shreveport, Heather (Louis “Boog”) Dugas, Hammond; and Anna (Adam) Dearman, Shreveport. 

Great-grandchildren: Mia & Juliet Bugilone of Malvern, PA, Isabella Giannobile, Ella, Eli, Emery-Reese Hill, Noah & Addison Dugas all of Hammond, Gianna Dearman and Sawyer Giannobile of Shreveport and Hudson Giannobile of Monroe and many nieces, nephews and close friends. 

She is preceded in death by her husband: Vincent Giannobile, Sr., parents: Sam & Josephine (Annina) Faldetta, brother: Frank Faldetta, sisters: Elizabeth Macaluso, Virginia Notariano, Mamie Diatte and Josephine Militello. 

Visitation will be Friday, April 28, 2017 from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 601 N. Oak Street, Hammond, Louisiana followed by the Mass of Christian Burial. Fr. Cayet Mangiaracina, O.P. will be the celebrant. 

Interment will be at the Rose Memorial Park Cemetery. 

The family requests that donations be made to the Richard Murphy Hospice Foundation, 1109 South Chestnut Street, Hammond, LA 70403. 

The family would like to thank Melinda Broussard and the Magnolia Senior Care for their exceptional care given to their loved one, along with the Richard Murphy Hospice House and Louisiana Hospice Palliative Care. 

Pallbearers will be: Brian Giannobile, Jared Hill, Louis “Boog” Dugas, Dr. Joseph Giannobile, Matthew Giannobile and Adam Dearman. 

Honorary pallbearer: Noah Dugas, Eli Hill, Hudson Giannobile and Sawyer Giannobile.
