Mary Lou Ellenberger passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, in Kentwood, Louisiana, at the age of 71. She was born on Saturday, February 7, 1948 in Lake Arthur, Louisiana to the late Marie Dirk and the late Johnny Dirk. She was a resident of Kentwood, Louisiana.
Mary is survived by her husband, Bradford Ellenberger; daughters, Tina Hougland (Larry) and Patty Schexnayder (Roy); son, Ricky Ellenberger; granddaughters, Amanda Hughes, Kimberly Hougland, Cheyenne Redmond, Adrian Schexnayder; grandsons, Eric Ellenberger, Ricky and Ethan Rodriguez, Dalton, Tracy, Dylan, and Dustin Hughes, and Larry Hougland, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Trent, Malik, and Jocelyn Jackson, and Kaise, Paisley, Emma, Mila, and Alaina Hughes; sisters, Loyce Kebodeaux and Glory Suire; and brother, Woodrow Dirk.
In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her sister, Azelina Courville; and her brothers, George and Fred Dirk.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation for Mary on Saturday, July 27, 2019, at Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula, 100 W Magnolia Street, Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, beginning at 6:00 PM. A memorial service will be held at 7:30 PM, after which the visitation will continue until 9:00 PM.
