Maurice Badon Jr. passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2017, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 84. He was born on Tuesday, August 30, 1932 in Liberty, Texas to the late Mary Landry Badon and the late Maurice Badon Sr.. He was a retired Professor of Child Welfare at Southeastern Louisiana University for over 20 years.
Maurice is survived by his sons, Etienne Badon and his wife Melanie, and John Ethan Badon and his wife Lilly; grandchildren, Ethan, Emma, and Aiden Badon; siblings, Monia, Houston, and Jessica Badon; and mother of Etienne and John, Jackie Badon.
He was preceded in death by his father, Maurice Badon, Sr.; mother, Mary Landry Badon; and siblings, Bobby, Vivian, and Cora Badon.
A memorial service will be scheduled in Hammond at a later date.
