Mr. William Nemeth , 93 years old of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, September 14, 2018, at North Oaks Medical Center.
He was born on Wednesday, September 24, 1924, in Albany, Louisiana, son of the late Joseph and Teresa Szakel Nemeth.
Mr. Nemeth was a US Army/Air Corp Veteran of WWII.
He retired in 1986 as a maintenance supervisor for Southeastern Louisiana University after more than 20 years of service and was a great LSU Tiger fan.
Surviving are his wife of 74 years, Anna Juhasz Nemeth, sons & daughters-in-law, William D. and Cynthia B. Nemeth, Robert M. and Elizabeth C. Nemeth, Dale A. and Pamela P. Nemeth, 4 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, brother, John Nemeth, and sisters, Helen N. Payne, and Josephine N. Carrell.
He is preceded in death by a grandson, Dustin Nemeth, brothers, Frank Nemeth, Joe Nemeth, Julius Nemeth, and sisters, Mary N. Cannon, and Rose N. Erdey.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond.
Services will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, at 11:00 am, with Deacon Nat Garofalo officiating.
Interment will follow in the Rose Memorial Park Cemetery Hammond, Louisiana.
