Myrlene Cheramie Pertuit, a longtime resident of Westwego, Marrero, and Loranger, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at the age of 75. Myrlene "MiMi" was born on Thursday, December 10, 1942 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Myrlene is survived by her loving husband, Carl "Joe" Joseph Pertuit, as well as her three sons, Steve, Allen, & Brian Pertuit and their spouses Susan, Mona, & Jeanne, respectively. MiMi also had 8 wonderful grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Cheramie and mother, Elta Jambon Cheramie.
She cherished the precious gifts of her faith, family, and friends. She was a highly active member of her church and kept a close and special relationship with her circle of friends and quilting group. MiMi will be missed dearly.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service in the chapel of Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd. Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 11:00 am. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am and continue until 11:00 am.
Interment will follow in Restlawn Park Cemetery, Avondale, Louisiana.
