Paula Jean Barnett Dawkins passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2017, in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, at the age of 52. She was born on Wednesday, August 5, 1964 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Peggy Campbell Barnett and the late Carl Andrew Barnett. She was a resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
Paula is survived by husband, Dwaine Jerome Dawkins; son, Phillip Cantrell; mother, Peggy Campbell Barnett; son, Johnny Alan Deal, daughter, Jessie Lee Stafford; brother, Carl A Barnett, Jr.; and seven grandchildren, Jeremiah Bjork, Ryan Welty, Faith Cantrell, Alexander Cantrell, Xavier Deal, Alexis Deal, and Ender Scott Deal.
She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Andrew Barnett and sister, Kimberly Smith.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Ceremony in the chapel of Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 11:00 am. Visitation will begin at 9:30 am continue until 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens, Hammond, Louisiana.
