Rene Moulton McLin Jr., 79 years old of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away Monday, October 30, 2017, at North Oaks Hospital.
Rene was born on Monday, July 18, 1938, in Bogalusa, Louisiana. He was a Navy Veteran, he retired as an Electrician for Southeastern Louisiana University's Physical Plant, he was also a Deacon at the First Baptist Church in Ponchatoula.
Surviving are wife of 50 years, Shirley Griffin McLin; daughter & son-in-law, Candace Mclin Harrison and William Harrison; son & daughter-in-law, Rene J. McLin and Korinne McLin, sisters, Lee Ann Whitner and Erlene Thompson (John); brother, Ronnie McLin (Ginger); and grandchildren, Ayden Harrison, Kelsey McLin, and Ethan and Rylan Mauterer.
He is preceded in death by parents, Rene Moulton McLin Sr. and Frances Bard McLin; stepfather, G.W. Eady; grandson, Sean Preston McLin; and brother George A. Eady.
Friends will be received on Thursday, November 2, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the service at 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church of Ponchatoula.
Interment will follow in the Sand Hill Cemetery Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
