Richard Beyl  passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at North Oaks Hospital surrounded by his loving family.  He was 81 years old.  He was born on Sunday, July 28, 1935 in Ponchatoula, Louisiana to the late Maggie Mae Corbin Beyl and the late Albert Franklin Beyl.  He was a resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana.  Richard retired as a supervisor from Dupont Chemical Plant, he also served Tangipahoa Parish as a police juryman in the 70's.   He was also an avid beagler, and owned Seltzer Creek Kennels.   He was a wonderful father, grandfather, brother, and friend to everyone who will be deeply missed.  

Richard is survived by his sons, Richard A. Beyl, Randall N. Beyl and his wife Cheryl, and Michael Brandon Beyl; daughter, Lori Maureen Hoover and her husband Glen; grandchildren, Randall Beyl, Jr., Alicia Beyl, Richard A. Beyl, III, Amy Amond, and Casey Rivette; 9 great-grandchildren; and brother, William "Billy" Beyl.

He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Franklin Beyl; mother, Maggie Mae Corbin Beyl; two sisters, Dorothy "Dot" Drott and Ethel Rae Wittie; brothers, Eugene "Dill" Beyl, Paul "Hoot" Beyl, and Huey Leon Beyl, Robbie "Rob" Beyl.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Saturday, July 15, 2017 from 9:00 am until the Funeral Service at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow in Wetmore Cemetery.
