Richard "Hoppa" Authement, 65 years old of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away Friday, March 2, 2018, at his residence.
He was born on Friday, October 31, 1952, in New Iberia, Louisiana.
Surviving are his wife, Anne Gregory Authement, daughter & son-in-law, LaTrecha and Wes Fayard, son & daughter-in-law, Jacob and Ashley Authement, son, Joshua Authement, grandchildren, Brandon Sumrall, Summer Fayard, Brian Sumrall, Gracie Sumrall, sisters and brothers-in-law, Juanita and Maurry Russell, Charlotte and Tommy Sartain, brothers & sisters-in-law, Joel and Beverly Authement, Gary and Sandy Folkes, Johnny and Glenda Folkes, his mother, Kathryn Authement, brother-in-law, Wayne Gregory, and sister-in-law, Terri Gregory.
He is preceded in death by his father, Leo Authement.
Friends will be received Thursday, March 29, 2018 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Ponchatoula.
Services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Ponchatoula on Thursday at 7:00 pm.
