Mr. Richard Zophar Morse, age 78 of Robert, Louisiana, passed away on Monday, February 11, 2019, at his residence. He was born on Thursday, October 31, 1940, in Robert, Louisiana, the son of the late Zophar and Juanita Sawyer Morse.
Mr. Morse was a great husband, a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a wonderful friend. He will be greatly missed.
Richard is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carol Kay Morse, sons & daughters-in-law, Todd and Judy Morse, Kelly and Abby Morse, Chance and Jennifer Morse, 7 grandchildren, Jude Taylor, Kati Morse, Tess Morse, Blake Morse, Caleb Morse, Chase Zophar Morse, and Hunter Morse; 9 great-grandchildren, Landon, Gracie, Sawyer, Jensen, Vail, Jacob, Sunni, Jade and Stevie; sisters, Jessie Boehm, and Gayla Jones.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Gene Morse, John Morse, James Allen Morse, and sisters, Audrey Robinson, Willie June Thomas, and Amelia Edge.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula , 100 W. Magnolia St. Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454.
Services will be held in the funeral home chapel in Ponchatoula, on Wednesday, at 1:00 pm, with Glynn Fendlason officiating.
Interment will follow at Sand Hill Cemetery in Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
