Ricky Edwin Chaney passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2017, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, at the age of 69. He was born on Monday, August 30, 1948 in Lake Village, Arkansas to the late Mabel Eugenia Oliver Chaney and the late Herbert Chaney Jr.. He was a resident of Prairieville, Louisiana and a proud veteran of the United States Air Force.
Ricky is survived by his loving wife, Suzanne Ridgdell Chaney; his daughters, Lindsay (Jacques) Bourgeois, Loni (Fiancé Jonathan Colby) Babin, Laura (Anthony) Lambert; his granddaughters, Addie, Arya and Aslyn Bourgeois, Brailey Babin, Avery and AnnaLeigh Lambert; his grandsons, Andrew Chaney and Brantley Babin; his aunt, Martha Cain and uncle, John Chaney; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Homer D. Chaney and sister, Susan Chaney Ross.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, October 19, 2017, from 4:00 pm until the Memorial Service at 6:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Ponchatoula, 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454.
Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens, Hammond, Louisiana.
