Rita K. Haydel passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2017, at the age of 97. She was born on Friday, July 30, 1920 in Norco, Louisiana to the late Lelia Marie Dufresne Kugler and the late Charles Kugler. She was a resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
Rita is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Haydel Pellichino and her husband Guy J. Pellichino; son, James A. Haydel , III and his wife Janet; son-in-law, Denis Guillaume; grandchildren, Maureen Van Norman and her husband Don, Christopher Guillaume and his wife Annie, Demetrius Guillaume and his wife Alicia, Noel Guillaume, April Duplessis and her husband Chris, Barry Pellichino and his wife Melissa, Stacy McKlveen and her husband Kevin, Wendy Hanna and her husband Terry, James Haydel, IV and his wife Millicent; numerous great grandchildren, granddaughter-in-law, Debbie Guidry Pellichino; and sisters, Verna Price, Audrey Brady, and Louise Bole.
She was preceded in death by her husband James A. Haydel, Jr.; father, Charles Kugler; mother, Lelia Marie Dufresne Kugler; daughter, Judith Haydel Guillaume; sisters, Merle Kugler, Sophie Braud, Regina Fletcher, and Jeanette Gainey; brothers, Charles and Isadore Kugler; and grandson, David Pellichino.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 255 North 8th Street, Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Thursday, December 7, 2017 from 10:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am.
Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens.
