Rita Louis Carcabasis passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2017, at the age of 72. She was born on Tuesday, June 20, 1944 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Pota Vaselakos Carcabasis and the late Louis Carcabasis. She was a resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana. Rita was a graduate of Warren Eastern High School and Slidell Vocational with a degree in Horticulture and Landscape Contracting.
Rita is survived by her sons, Paul Fischer and Charles John Danna; daughter, Denise Danna; grandchildren, Brett Carroll, Nicholas and Alexander Fischer; great-grandchildren, Andrea and Hunter Carroll, Aubrey Fischer, and Allison Landry; brother, George Carcabasis; and a very special father-in-law, Captain David Stefferud (USN) Ret.
She was preceded in death by her father, Louis Carcabasis; mother, Pota Vaselakos Carcabasis; brother, Gus Carcabasis; and her former husband, Stanley Mack Danna.
