Rose Mary Melendez passed away on Monday, May 22, 2017 surrounded by her family, in Covington, Louisiana, at the age of 67. She was born on Tuesday, September 6, 1949 in Independence, Louisiana to the late Angelina Arnone Augello and the late Frank Augello. She was a resident of Independence, Louisiana.
Rose is survived by her son, Michael Melendez and his wife Tracy, Marcus Melendez, and Frank Jackson and his wife Julie; grandchildren, Christopher Melendez, Sarah Melendez, Natalie Melendez, Hannah Melendez, Jenna Melendez, Spenser Jackson, Mason Jackson, and Kaylee Jackson; and sister, Josephine Mayeux.
She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Augello; mother, Angelina Arnone Augello; husband, Catalino Decena Melendez, Jr.; and brother, Anthony Augello, Sr.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation in the chapel of Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Friday, May 26, 2017 from 11:00 am until the funeral service at 1:00 pm.
Interment will follow in Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church Cemetery in Tickfaw, Louisiana.
