Ruth Gertrude Berner passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2017, in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, at the age of 87. She was born on Wednesday, September 17, 1930 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Ruth Brown Thibodaux and the late Ellis Thibodaux. She was a longtime business owner and a resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
Ruth is survived by her son, Harold Berner and his wife Judy Vice Berner.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ellis Thibodaux; mother, Ruth Brown Thibodaux; husband, Emiel Harold Berner; brother, Dickie Harrell; and half-sisters, Lillian Authment and Hazel Thibodaux.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 3, 2018, from 9:00 am until the Funeral Service at 11:00 am.
