S. Lindsey McKay passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2017, in Hammond, Louisiana at the age of 42. She was born on Saturday, June 14, 1975 in Hammond, Louisiana to Dr. Sandra Edwards McKay and the late William Lindsey "W.L." McKay. She was a resident of Hammond, Louisiana.
Lindsey is survived by her son, Kellen McKay Shurden; mother, Dr. Sandra Edwards McKay; sister, Kayla Ann McKay Klaus; brother, Charles "Chas" D. McKay; Fiancé, Justin Knuth; nephews, Dreux Savoy,Caleb Lindsey McKay, Dylan Klaus, Griffin Klaus, and Layne McKay; niece, Jullianne McKay; as well as numerous cousins and endless friends.
She was preceded in death by her father; her grandparents, Harold and Gladys Edwards and Charles and Ollie McKay; and nephew, Hunter Logan Cooper.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Monday, October 2, 2017 at 5:00 pm. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 2, 2017 beginning at 4:00 pm and will continue after the service until 6:00 pm.
Immediately following the visitation and service the family would like to invite relatives and friends to attend a memorial gathering at Benny's Bar located in downtown Hammond at 204 W. Thomas St.
