Stanley Larice Meades, Sr., 75 years old of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at home with his family by his side. He was born on Wednesday, October 14, 1942, in Pumpkin Center, Louisiana to Flavius and Mattie Lou Carroll Meades. Stanley was a hard worker. He enjoyed tinkering around in the garage and working on his 1966 Dodge Charger, but he especially loved spending time with his family.

Stanley is survived by his sons, Stanley Meades, Jr. his wife Jamie and Lynn Meades, his daughter, Connie Ferguson, his grandchildren, Ryan and Caroline Meades, Allie, Zane, Jaylen, Beau and Clay Ferguson, his brothers, Wesley Meades his wife Judy, Levern Meades his wife Vicky and Glen Meades his wife Charlotte, his sister, Margie Foster her husband Vernon, also many nieces, nephews and close friends.

Stanley is preceded in death by his parents, Flavius and Mattie Lou Carroll Meades, his wife Gloria Lavigne Meades, and his brothers, Junior Meades and Alan Meades.

A Visitation for Stanley will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2018 from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm at Midway Baptist Church in Ponchatoula. A Funeral Service Celebrating Stanley's Life will immediately follow visitation at 12:00pm in the church. Interment will follow at the Midway Baptist Church Cemetery in Ponchatoula.

The family wishes to express a special thank you to Stanley’s brother Levern for going above and beyond helping with their Dad’s care. The time spent with him meant more to Daddy than words can express.
