Stella Sculley Guzzardo, 83, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2017, at her home with her family by her side. She was born on August 27, 1933 in London, England to the late Daisy and Arthur Sculley. She was a resident of Independence, Louisiana.
She was known for her huge smile, awesome attitude, and beautiful English accent. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister and loved spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, John T. "J.T." Guzzardo, Sr.; daughter, Debbie Husser and husband Ronnie; son, John T. "J.T." Guzzardo, Jr.; and grandchildren Brett and Nicole Husser, Chris and Kallie Husser, Ayla and Shanna Guzzardo; and great-grandchildren Brant, Landon, Aubrey, and Grayson Husser. Also survived by sisters Rita Coates and Tina Mika.
She was preceded in death by her son, William "Billy" Guzzardo; parents Arthur and Daisy Sculley; and brothers John and Tony Sculley.
Family and friends are invited to attend Funeral services on Saturday, January 14, 2017, at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church, 609 3rd Street, Independence, Louisiana. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am conducted by Father Howard Atkins and Deacon Roger Navarra. Interment will follow at Colonial Cemetery in Independence, Louisiana.
