Theresa Marie Gaude passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at the age of 81. She was born on September 23, 1935 in Hammond, to the late Henry A. Gaude and the late Susie Ross Gaude.
Theresa worked for U.S. Plywood in Holden, and Southeastern University in Hammond. She also worked for Foster Grandparents and volunteered at Belle Maison Nursing Home. Theresa was a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church; and she was an avid lover of plants, flowers and gardening.
Theresa is survived by her two sisters, Susie Gaude of Hammond, and Victoria Rogers of Lafayette; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters, Willamina Rome, Henrietta Schafer, Lorraine Drozd, Marie Jones, and Sylvia Wiltz; four brothers, Joseph, Henry, Paul, and Eugene Gaude.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 601 N. Oak Street, Hammond 70401, on August 7, 2017 from 9:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am.
Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Hammond.
