Urbain Stanislaus Pecquet Jr. of Ponchatoula Louisiana passed away on June 17, 2019 at the age of 91.  He was born on June 8, 1928 in New Orleans, Louisiana, the son of Urbain S. Pecquet Sr. and Angelina G. Pecquet LaCombe.   

Urbain was a proud veteran of the U. S. Navy and World War II.  He served aboard the U.S.S Turner DD 834 which was part of the Bikini Atoll Atom Bomb Testing in 1946. 

He enjoyed playing golf, painting, collecting things and spending time with family and friends. 

Urbain is survived by his wife of 66 years, Muriel Sanchez Pecquet; two sons, Darryl Pecquet and wife Kathy; Brian Pecquet and wife Linda; two Granddaughters, Katie Pecquet Kahn and husband Chad, Allison Pecquet Hamilton and husband Stephen;Great Grandchildren Beau & Hayes Kahn and Quinn Hamilton. 

Urbain was preceded in death by his parents, Urbain S. Pecquet Sr. and Angelina G. Pecquet LaCombe.  

Family and friends will be received at French Corner Baptist Church in Ponchatoula,Louisiana located at 39715 Teel Road on Saturday June 22, 2019 from 9:00 AM until the service starts at 11:00 AM. 

Interment will follow at Sandhill Cemetery located at 40199 Sand Hill Cemetery Road, Ponchatoula,Louisiana.
