Virginia "Patty" Casey Cancienne, of Hammond, Louisiana, passed on Wednesday, June 24, 2020, at the age of 71. She was born on Wednesday, March 23, 1949, in El Paso, Texas, the daughter of the late James F. and Maria Camara Casey.
She retired from the Times Picayune Newspaper after more than 36 years of service. She spent the last 5 years working at Wal-Mart in Ponchatoula with her Wal-Mart family.
Virginia is survived by her daughters, Christinia Cancienne Eliser, and Amber Cancienne; son, Christopher James Casey , Sr., grandchildren, Shawn Keller, Jeremy McLuckey, Victoria Keller, Christopher James Casey, Jr., and Chloe Baggett: great-grandsons, Reece Keller, and Rowan Casey; brothers, Ramon Camara, Jaime Camara, and James Casey,and her fur-baby, Sable.
Family and friends will be received at First United Pentecostal Church, Ponchatoula, 15668 Fischer Lane, Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454 on Sunday, June 28, 2020 from 1:30 pm until 2:30 pm.
A Funeral Service will be held at First United Pentecostal Church, Ponchatoula on Sunday at 2:30 pm, with Pastor Joey Reid officiating.
