Walter T. "Bubba" Sharp, 75 years old of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018, at home with his wife and family by his side. What a beloved husband, stepfather, grandpa, and great grandpa. Bubba was a heavy equipment operator until he retired. He was also a member of Local 406 I.U.O.E., a Mason and P.M. of Lodge 406 in Metairie, Louisiana, a Shriner with The Scottish Rite since 1990 in New Orleans, Louisiana, and a veteran during the Vietnam War. Bubba was the kind of person that would have a smile or a kind word for everyone he met. He enjoyed many years of happiness with his wife, Joyce. They were undeniably in love with one another and shared an unbreakable bond. Bubba will be greatly missed by so many people.

Bubba is survived by his loving wife of over 30 years, Joyce "Me Maw" Sharp; stepdaughter, Rhonda Cook (Jimmy); stepson, Garland Waites Jr. (Yvette); sister, Brenda Ridgedell; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and two nieces, Tara and Sissy.

Bubba was preceded in death by his parents, Eunice Relle and Harold Sharp.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 100 W. Magnolia St. Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 from 12:00 pm until the funeral service begins at 1:00 pm.

Interment be at Ponchatoula Cemetery at a later time.
