Mr. Walter "Tee" Joseph Perkins III, 72 years old of Independence, Louisiana, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2018, at North Oaks Medical Center.
He was born on Monday, December 31, 1945, in New Orleans, son of the late Walter and Leona Naquin Perkins Jr.
Mr. Perkins was a United States Navy Veteran having served on the USS Briane Destroyer in 1964. He is a member of the Vietnam Veterans Association and a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Surviving are his granddaughter, Chelsie, great-grandson, Zane, brothers, Russell Perkins, William "Bill" Perkins, Terry Perkins, and Gary "Redhawk" Perkins, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Missy Perkins.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at on Tuesday at 1:00 pm.
