Willard E. “Billy” Guillory, age 79 of Hammond, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at home with his family by his side. He was born on Friday, September 27, 1940, in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, to Elga and Etta Ruth Thomas Guillory. Billy served his country in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Intrepid during the Cuban Missile Crisis and his community as a volunteer fireman. He worked as a television engineer and had his own machine shop. Billy was a devoted member of Happywoods Church of God. He was an automotive enthusiast who loved to work and restore classic cars and enjoyed car shows. Billy especially loved spending time with his grandkids and family. 

Billy is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Betty Hoover Guillory, his sons, Randall Guillory and his wife Ursula and Mark Guillory, his daughter Julie Guillory and her husband Richard Fournet, his grandchildren, Christa and Elana Guillory and Lucy Fournet, his sister, Caroll May Pearson, also, many nieces, nephews and close friends. 

Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Elga and Etta Ruth Thomas Guillory and his brothers and sisters.  

A Visitation for Billy will be held on Sunday, December 1, 2019 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Harry McKneely &Son Funeral Home in Hammond. A Funeral Service Celebrating Billy's Life will immediately follow visitation at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Hoffman Cemetery in Hammond.
