William Wallace McWhirter Jr., 85 years old of Loranger, Louisiana, passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2018, at Northridge Care Center in Baker, Louisiana. He was born on April 23, 1933, in Covington, Louisiana the son of the late William Wallace McWhirter Sr. and the late Eva Anna LaCroix McWhirter. William was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
William is survived by his wife, Jerry Pittman McWhirter; children, William Wallace McWhirter III (Tara), Susan Elizabeth Coyle (Dan), Hillary Wayne McWhirter (Cecilia), and Eva Ann McWhirter; grandchildren, Holly Ann Jenkins, Katie McWhirter, Trey Rogers, Tyler Rogers, Shelby McWhirter, Alexander Rodriguez, Willie McWhirter, Emma Rodriguez, and Anna McWhirter; great-grandchildren, Cooper Connell, Levi Connell, Rylan Rogers; sister, Mary Jane Wilson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his grandson, Tanner Rogers, and sisters, Anna Ruth Hubbard, and Edith Guidry.
