Willie James Hart, Sr. passed away on Monday, February 19, 2018, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 64. He was born on Wednesday, August 19, 1953 in Monticello, Mississippi to the late Helen Rials Johnson and the late Ernest Hart. He was a resident of Independence, Louisiana.
Willie is survived by his children, Willie James Hart, Jr. (Jennie), James Edward Hart, Sr. (Peggy),Tina Hart, Caroline Hart, Celeshia Howell, and Helen Howell; grandchildren, Jada, Kenneth, Destiny, Ciera, Justin, Mindy, Mandy, James Jr., Kyle, Savanna, Trent, Bubba, Kristin, Robin, Matthew, Cody, James Ray, Haley, and Jessie; 13 great-grandchildren; siblings, Frances Failla, Geraldine Howell, and Mary Elizabeth Hart; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Hart; mother, Helen Rials Johnson; brother, A.J. Hart; and two sisters, Peggy Sue Hart and Sandra Sue Hart.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 10:00 am until the Funeral Service 12:00 pm.
Interment will follow in Little River Pentecostal Church Cemetery in Tickfaw, Louisiana.
