Wilma “Dinky” Ethel McKinney, 76 years old of Springfield passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2018, at home with her family by her side. She was born on Sunday, May 15, 1942, in Springfield,Louisiana to William and Ethel McKinney Foster. Dinky enjoyed life and loved her coffee, crocheting, word searches, the outdoors and floral gardening, but she especially loved spending time with her family.
Dinky is survived by her sons,Jerry “Brim” McKinney and his wife Linda and Chester Earl McKinney and his wife LaHoma, her grandchildren, Ethel Chriswell and her husband Audie, Chad and Faith McKinney, her great grandchildren, Wade, Ryan and Alexia McKinney, Shaunand Levi Chriswell and Caden and Abigayle McKinney, her brother, Henry “Hank”Foster, also many nieces, nephews and close friends.
Dinky is preceded in death by her parents,William and Ethel McKinney Foster, her husband Clifton “Seab” Eugene McKinney,Sr., her son, Clifton “Gene” Eugene McKinney, Jr., her brother Robert Foster,and her sisters, Velma Wilson and Lillie Foster.
A Visitation for Dinky will be held on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at Harry McKneely &Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula. A Funeral Service Celebrating Dinky's Life will immediately follow visitation at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel.Interment will follow at the Foster Family Cemetery in Springfield.
