On June 30, 2021 at 11:55 AM, Carol Lynn Barnes Foster left this world to be embraced by our Heavenly Father. Her last moments were very peaceful surrounded by her two precious children. She was welcomed home to be with her Heavenly Father while she was listening to “Take me to the King.”
Carol Lynn was a wonderful Christian woman, who loved God, her husband and family, and who brought a smile to everyone she met. She was born on May 6, 1955 and has lived her life in Ponchatoula, LA. She loved her town and has lived here with her husband Harold “Pee Wee” Foster for 45 years as of April of this year. Her children, grandchildren, and great grandson were the love of her life. She would never miss a chance to share their accomplishments with everyone she met. Carol Lynn was your friend from the moment you met her, and she would do anything to help you.
Her son Stephen Foster and cousin Rosena Prestigiacomo have been huge helps in the last few months to take care of Carol Lynn and to get her to her doctor appointments. She would have been lost without their constant outpouring of love. She loved her daughter and son so much. She would constantly call Jennifer Lynn to ask her to make an Amazon order for her. Jennifer Lynn would just tell her to “put it in the cart” and she would take care of it. Jennifer Lynn always looked forward to her calls to just check up on her. Her grandchildren always looked forward to their yearly Christmas gifts of Pickles, sunflower seeds, and Slim Jim’s. Her children and grandchildren blessed her life in so many ways.
She is preceded in death by her Dad and mom- Teroy and Rose Bonfanti Barnes, her niece- Stephanie Barnes, and her nephew Greg Barnes Jr. She is survived by her husband Harold ‘Pee Wee” Foster, sister Roslyn (Robert) Vining, and brother Greg Barnes and many nieces and nephews who she loved. She leaves her rich legacy in her children- daughter and son in law Jennifer Lynn and Jeorge Beiriger, Son Stephen Foster; grandchildren- Madison Foster, Meredith (Jamie) Gonzales, Cayne Beiriger, and Spencer Beiriger; and Great grandson August McCormick. She will always be remembered by her many friends who thought of her as family.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life as we lay her heavenly body to rest on Monday July 5th at Harry McKneely Funeral home in Ponchatoula, 100 W Magnolia Street, Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454. The visitation will begin at 9:00 AM until the funeral service begins at 1:00 PM, and will be led by Joni Matherne. The burial will follow at Carter Cemetery, Springfield, Louisiana. Even though we lay to rest her heavenly body, we know that Carol Lynn is celebrating her joyous entrance into the Kingdom of heaven to see family and friends.
