Helen Stewart gained her wings on Thursday, April 26, 2018, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 91. She was born on December 13, 1926 to the late Smiley and Zelma Ogden. She was a resident of Albany, Louisiana.
Helen is survived by her seven children; sons, Sebron Stewart and his wife Cindy, Hosey Stewart Jr., Glen Stewart and his wife Debbie, and David Stewart; daughters, Norma Gueldner and her husband Wayne,
Carolyn Stewart, and Melba Stewart; brothers, Charles, Donnie, Nolan and Vancy Ogden; sister, Bertha Roberts; a very special nephew, Elzey Stewart Jr.; a wonderful brother in law, James Stewart; 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews and close friends.
Helen is preceded in death by her loving husband, Hosey W. Stewart; father, Smiley Ogden; mother, Zelma Ogden; grandsons, Jeromy Cooper and Jonathan Thompson; great granddaughter, Daisy Yarborough; brothers, George Odgen, Smiley Ogden Jr., Jerry Odgen, and Thomas Ogden; sisters, Mary Compton and Dorothy Parker.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Sunday, April 29, 2018 from 9:00 am until the funeral service at 1:30 pm at Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home in Hammond. Interment will follow in New Haven Baptist Church Cemetery, Tickfaw, Louisiana.
