Jack Nicholas Yent, 75 years old of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2016 in Hammond. He was born on September 1, 1941 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Frank and Gesena Yent. Jack was always ready and willing to help anyone who needed it. He enjoyed life and loved the Smokey Mountains and going to car shows but he especially loved spending time with his German shepherd’s Heidi and Hoover.
Jack is survived by his sister Gesena Provenzano and her husband Joe, his niece Wendy Ogle and her husband Tim and nephew Brian Provenzano, also many close friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Gesena Yent and his sister Margaret Ann Yent.
A Visitation for Jack will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula. A Funeral Service Celebrating Jack's Life will immediately follow visitation at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Wadesboro Catholic Cemetery in Ponchatoula.
