James "Danny" Daniel Spriggs passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 72. He was born on Monday, June 27, 1949 in Independence, Louisiana to the late Viola "Jodie" Skelton Spriggs and the late Dave Spriggs, Sr. He was a resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
Danny is survived by his wife of 46 years, Mary Foss Spriggs; sisters, Glenda Hill Trammell (David) and Catherine Spriggs Mizell (Wayne); step-children, Darren Vallaire (Sunny) and Danielle Henderson; grandchildren, Carson, Max, and Alex; and mother-in-law, Elizabeth Foss.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dave Spriggs, Sr.; mother, Viola "Jodie" Skelton Spriggs; and brother, Dave Spriggs, Jr.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service for Danny at Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula, 100 W Magnolia Street, Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 2:30 PM. There will be no visitation before the memorial service.
