Mary Ann Gordon
Mary peacefully went to her heavenly home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, March 18, 2022 at the age of 66. She was known not only for her spunky, sassy and headstrong personality, but how she also loved unconditionally, cared for people like they were family, and was very determined in any endeavor she was into at the time. Mary enjoyed cooking, especially the family favorites such as red beans and rice or chicken and dumplings and took great pride in watching them enjoy what she had prepared for them. She would often be found mowing her lawn, working in the garden, or playing music on the piano, bass guitar or organ, but what she loved the most was spending time with her family making lasting memories with them. With a heart as good as gold, and a voice like as angel, we are sure she is singing in the angels choir rejoicing to see her Savior Jesus Christ as well as her beloved husband of 35 years, Wade Gordon. Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed dearly.
She is survived by her daughter, Kelli Gordon Guitrau and husband Brandon; son, Ethan Gordon; grandchildren, Brylen and Bentlie Guitrau; sisters, Elaine Smith and Dorothy Sanders; honorary sister, Judy Hood; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding Mary in death are her husband; Norman “Wade” Gordon Sr.; Parents, Luther and Lucille Lewis; sister, Evie Watkins Brown; brother, David Lewis; and her brother-in-laws, Jerry Brown, Kenneth “Buddy” Smith and Thomas “Tinker” Sanders.
